Eyescapes

Escapescape is a powerful project by Mandy Tong designed to provide insight into how individuals with visual impairments experience the world. Through a thoughtfully crafted 3D-printed eyewear collection, Tong used various materials to simulate conditions such as blindness, low vision, and color blindness.

I had the opportunity to assist Tong in bringing this collection to life during her photoshoot. My role included helping with art direction, lighting design, and ensuring the visual storytelling effectively conveyed the project’s deeper message. The shoot aimed to highlight the texture, form, and intent behind each eyewear piece, emphasizing its purpose of fostering empathy and understanding for those with visual impairments.
